Our friend Mike used to subject us to Les Savy Fav in his car and the music was frankly jarring, but we eventually came to enjoy Les Savy Fav’s Rome (Written Upside Down) EP. When Les Savy Fav released their new album, Let’s Stay Friends, last September, we downloaded it without hesitation. The energy on their new album is infectious and the music is infinitely more accessible than anything we’d heard by Les Savy Fav before. We think the first verse of “Patty Lee” is incredibly funny: we can’t think of another song featuring death and bondage that you can dance to.
